Century Graphics Proofing Options

Improof Digital Dylux
An Improof is a finished mock-up of the final printed project. It exactly represents the folds, backups, die strike locations and is cut to size (it can be produced on the stock on which the job will run, most often it is printed on an offset sheet which offers the best reproduction). Resolution and color fidelity are less than optimum. The proof is best used for:
- proof reading (typographic, punctuation, and "re-flow")
- page layout (proper folio placement/back-up)
- cross gutter line-ups
- die cut location

Digital Color Proof
A 43 Wide Proof is a continuous tone ink jet color proof calibrated to match the offset press. A specific paper stock must be used to achieve optimum color fidelity. Edge definition and typographic weight determination are improved over the Improof. Very fine rules and thin type may drop out or print heavier than offset reproduction. Color fidelity is much improved over the Improof proof and is acceptable for a "Pleasing Color" press match.
This proof is best used for:
- proof reading
- image resolution
- general Color determination
Dupont Digital Waterproof

Waterproofs offer the most accurate color proofing available. Color fidelity and edge definition are precise. Type weight and rule width are exact. Image resolution can be determined prior to printing. A magnifying glass can be used to check traps and dot structure. All color images, and typographic elements are rendered exactly as they will print on an offset press
